The South Kitsap Regional Park Skatepark combines a 7,000 sqft raised bowl unit with approximately 12,000 sqft of urban plaza lines. The skatepark’s design was heavily influenced by a dense forested area within the existing site. In an attempt to maintain as many trees as possible, the park’s street features have been laid out in a series of pathways that weave around existing vegetation. The overall development will also include a 45,000 sqft dirt BMX track that includes advanced, intermediate and beginner sections. When complete, the skatepark and BMX area promise to be marquee features within the newly developed South Kitsap Regional Park.
