Located at 75 Ave and 112 St in Edmonton, AB, the McKernan Skate Spot is a great place to warm up or have a casual session. Lots of ledges and banks in this converted old wading pool. The unique embedded rock feature adds another challenge as do the steep banks with inset benches — inspired by the world-famous “China Banks” in San Francisco. There is a mellow down-rail as well as a few different ledges that can be hit from either side. For those who want to turn it up a few notches, there are some gaps too. McKernan Skate Spot was developed as a tribute to Tyler “Teebs” Stuart, an Edmonton skateboarder who passed away in 2009. The spot was made possible by the McKernan Community Leage, The City of Edmonton, and the Edmonton Skateboard Association.
